Occasionally, we like to let our hair down and party.
Every year we have a number of discos - normally after we've won a
competition. There are other less formal days out - just for fun. Many
cadets get together outside of cadet time and do all the things they
would do with any of their other friends.
The highlight of the social year though is the Annual
Dining In Night. This is generally held on the nearest Friday to 5th
February (the day the ATC was founded in 1941) and consists of a formal dinner
and awards ceremony. The event is run in the same way as an RAF Dining
In Night. The formal part of the evening is followed by
a disco and the cadets contribution in the form of the VERY informal and
unofficial Paper Cup Awards.
