CLIMBING

Climbing can be a highly rewarding sport. It works well to exercise all parts of your body, by developing upper body strength through gripping, and encouraging muscular development in the legs through balancing.

Our cadets go on regular trips to climbing walls and staff are training to take cadets out on real rocks. All climbing is supervised by professionally qualified instructors (either staff members or employed from the outside.)

OBSTACLE COURSES

Obstacle courses promote team work and build fitness and stamina. When you've got over some of the more difficult or scary obstacles, you'll find that your self-confidence has improved too!

FIELDCRAFT

Learning things like patrol procedures and bivvy building can be tiring, messy, dirty and great fun!

Canoeing & Kayaking

Many of our cadets have had taster sessions for this activity. Some have gone on to take 1 and 2 Star Awards

Camping & Walking

Its amazing how comfortable you can be with the floor of your tent as a bed - the more miles you've done, the better you sleep
